Dr. Hinds was featured in the
March issue of the AO(Academy of Osseointegration) "Academy News", as he was appointed to the executive counsel as secretary. Click for AO link Dr. Hinds and Candy, his implant coordinator, traveled to the
Academy of Osseointegration Annual Scientific meeting in San Antonio, Texas, this March 2007. They will be attending the next meeting in Boston this March, 2008.
Dr. Hinds traveled to Chicago last December 2005,2006 and 2007 to teach a hands-on laboratory course for oral surgeons of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. The course was titled, "Hands-on Immediate Provisionalization of Single and Multiple Unit Implant Cases", which demonstrated both the importance of and technique to utilize immediate temporaries on dental implants. One of the benefits is to improve the final esthetic (appearance) of the definitive implant prosthesis (crown).
Team Travel: The entire team enjoys taking courses to stay abreast of current technology in dentistry. In fact, last September 2006 and 2007 the entire team traveled to San Francisco to attend the annual
Scientific Session of the California Dental Association. They took several courses and dedicated a day to team building and to enjoy the many sites of the city.
His team also annually attends the Annual Scientific Session of the California Dental Assocation in Anaheim, California. They all look forward to the next meeting this April, 2008. They will take courses together and view current technology in one of the largest exhibits in the nation.
Digital photography has always been an integral part of Dr.Hinds' dental practice to provide esthetic and comprehensive care for his patient's. Dr Hinds has learned from years of teaching that closeup digital images are a great tool to communicate treatment needs. He sits down with his patients, in a private consultation room to review each image and present individual treatment options.
This technique helps his patients better understand his / her options and benefits of treatment. Dr. Hinds also utilizes digital photography as a teaching tool for his dental team, keeping them knowledgeable on the services which we provide for our patients.
Digital Radiographs are utilized in our quality practice. We purchased the original digital radiograph units over 10 years ago but did not incorporate it into our daily routine until recently. With the advancements in technology, the resolution as now improved to the level acceptable for proper diagnosis. Now our patients can injoy significant less radiation exposure, improved comfort and accurate diagnostic capabilities.
